A new rehab center will offer treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions

CHERRY HILL, NJ – (January 15, 2021) – Advanced Recovery Systems is proud to partner with Cooper University Health Care to announce the opening of The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper, a brand new, 90-bed inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on January 18, 2021. This state-of-the-art facility offers a full continuum of care for adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.

As two leaders in behavioral health care, the partnership between Cooper University Health Care and Advanced Recovery Systems will help meet an urgent need in the South Jersey community. As an existing provider, the Cooper Emergency Department treats between five and 20 patients daily for opioid overdose or other opioid-related health issues.

“Drug addiction and deaths from drug overdoses, particularly opioids, continue to rise nationally and Cooper physicians are dealing with the results of addiction every day,” said George E. Norcross, III, Chairman of Cooper’s Board of Trustees.

“There’s a clear need for responsible and effective treatment centers for patients and we look forward to working with ARS to fill an existing gap in the continuum of care and offer quality treatment for Cooper patients and all who are seeking recovery from addiction.”George E. Norcross, III, Chairman of Cooper’s Board of Trustees

“We’re honored to partner with Cooper to help more individuals in need of safe, effective addiction treatment, especially now in the wake of COVID-19” said Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Recovery Systems, Mitchell Eisenberg, MD. “Our research indicates the pandemic is driving increased rates of drug and alcohol use, not to mention the serious impact to our country’s mental health. We look forward to serving the South Jersey and surrounding communities by providing patient-centered, evidence-based treatment for substance use and mental health disorders at our newest facility.”

The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper will be part of the Advanced Recovery Systems nationwide network of accredited rehab centers which provide addiction and mental health treatment to adults and adolescents. The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper will accept most private insurance policies with private pay rates available.
